10 Ways You Benefit by Buying a Used Boat
1. Plain and simple, buying a used boat means you are going to spend
less money.
2. There is far greater room for negotiating the sale price when buying
a used boat than there is when buying a new boat.
3. Because you’re spending less, you’re likely to be on
the water and enjoying your boat months or years earlier than you would
otherwise.
4. You’ll pay far less in sales tax for a used boat than you
will for a new boat.
5. The previous owner may be able to give you a detailed, pre-sale
history of the boat as well as information about important characteristics
of the boat being sold.
6. The usedboat you are considering may be already in the water and
you will be able to take the actual boat you are buying out for a sea-trial—something
that’s not possible when ordering from a model on the showroom
floor. If it is winter and the boat is in storage you will be able to
verify the hull condition before making a buying decision.
7. Used sailboats are put up for sale with multiple sets of sails,
lines, and/or spare rigging; many used power boats will come with the
spare engine parts that you would normally need to go out and buy.
8. When a boat owner puts his/her boat up for sale, it often has many
upgrades and add-ons already installed—as the use boat buyer,
you’re saving time and money.
9. If what you are looking for is a fixer-upper, you’ll get the
satisfaction of bringing an older boat back to its former glory.
10. There is an abundance of information and reviews available online
about performance, design, sale prices, sea worthiness, the pros, and
the cons of almost any boats from any manufacturer and any year –
for new models, you get just specs and marketing pitches.

Used Power Boats | Intrepid 35’ 2000 Open Cuddy |
The
Intrepid 356 Cuddy has a cabin that includes galley with sink and
storage, standard private head and shower, U-shaped seating, double
berth, plus custom conversions. A transverse step in the hull reduces
the amount of wetted surface as the boat moves through the water.
The step allows air to slip under the chine, giving the hull a natural
lift with specific points to run on. Planing faster at slower speeds
means better fuel efficiency. A 22.5-degree transom deadrise keeps
enough of the running surface in contact with the water at all times.
Hand-laid knitted uni- and multi-directional fiberglass laminates
provide strength, and the resin-to-cloth ratio is made accurate
thanks to vacuum bagging. Hullsides, transom, decks, liners, and
stringers are foam-cored to increase stiffness while shedding unnecessary
weight. 250Hp Yamahas with low hours! Gen Set, Air, Electric rocket
launcher, L shaped seating and rear set opt., Must sell, Offers
